A new residence with 6 apartments, all recently renovated, finely and elegantly furnished for guests who want to enjoy moments of relaxation after a busy day of work or sport in Vallagarina.  A place to feel at home, welcomed by a comfortable atmosphere, in a quiet area, surrounded by a large garden.

The residence is located in Borgo Sacco, a historic district of Rovereto, and in particular in the street named after Riccardo Zandonai, the famous composer, who was born in the characteristic old village on 28 May 1883. Zandonai is remembered for several operas, including ‘L’uccellino d’oro’ (the Golden Bird), from which the residence takes its name.

An effigy reminds us that the house was owned by Ettore Manica, a far-sighted industrialist from Rovereto who, on 28 May 1948, founded the Manica company, a historic industry in the town; the founder Ettore is still remembered and recognised for his patronage and voluntary work in favour of the town .

Just as in Riccardo Zandonai’s fable, the “Golden Bird” succeeds in helping the King’s son defeat the forces of Evil with the help of seven little doves, so there is a parallel with the story of Ettore Manica, who after the Second World War managed to build his industrial enterprise supported by six female figures, his mother, his four sisters and his beloved wife. May the example of these two illustrious and enlightened men therefore be an inspiration to those who will have the pleasure of staying in this residence!
